Neglect :)
29/01/09 Filed in: Commentary
OK, so I am neglecting my own blog.
Sorry. I am working on God’s iPod about 12 hours a day. Yeah,
I WISH I was kidding. :) And our giving this month is only at
14%... I wish I was kidding about that too.
I had to come and post though, because I saw 2 really great global warming articles today that I wanted to post on my blog.
The first is about the back-story of how Al Gore came to create the Internet, oops, wrong story, I mean to say, how he invented Global Warming. Actually, he didn’t of course, but like Apple did with portable music players, he just popularized it. Wait a minute, Al Gore sits on the board of Apple! Connection? Anyway, I digress. Correlation is not causation...!!
Ok, so here’s the basic story if you can’t be bothered clicking the link to read the story. Some scientist wanted funding, as they do, and invented, yes invented, a link between CO2 and temperature. He creates the IPCC *groan* and ends up being a professor. He teaches this young impressionable student about this terrible global warming problem. The student buys it hook line and sinker and thinks his professors is amazing and decides he must take this info to the world. This student then becomes Vice-President. You guessed it, the student is none other than Al Gore. Well, time has passed, and new models and a cooling climate turn the professor into an adamant global warming skeptic. He recently passed away, and Al Gore, well, he’s sadly going to be around for a long time to come. Oh that’s a nasty thing to say I know, but he is the one using global warming to introduce a one world government, so... Read all about this here: The Amazing Story Behind the Global Warming Scam
OK, the second article is great too... I am not going to write as much, my fingers are hurting... So bottom line, the ex-NASA climate boss who used to be ardent supporter of global warming and actually embarrassed NASA in the ’80s for saying global warming was real has now recanted and calls the entire thing a hoax. Yep, for real!! I'm a sceptic now, says ex-NASA climate boss.
Ok, cya sometime... Keep the planet green, but don’t buy the lie...
ia.

Dust - Was Jesus a Socialist?
24/01/09 Filed in: Dust
Well my “devotional”
turned to dust. You can find the Dust here. I am probably going to cross-post a bit.
That means I will post most of them here as well as God’s
iPod. And wow, have you seen the new God’s iPod? It looks
pretty spiffy if I do say so myself. Lots more news stuff
coming.
OK, so here is a recent post on Dust...

A popular Christian author wrote recently about Yeshua being a Socialist. At one point in his book, he says he is often a labeled a Communist, and kinda laughs it off, but doesn't reject the label.
If you have read my story on my personal website, IsraelAnderson.com, you would know that I grew up in abject poverty. I lived on the streets for 2 and half years from 14 to 17. I know what it is like to be very needy. So I have a perspective the comfortable Church kids writing best sellers do not. I didn't choose to go sleep in slums with the homeless to open my eyes to another world, that was simply my life.
So it may surprise you, that I see Socialism as wrong and totally contrary to Yeshua's Kingdom. Those who claim Yeshua was a Socialist, fail to understand the voluntary nature of charity. What our Lord wants is free and liberal giving of our prosperity, our time, our love. Charity, not Socialism is what Yeshua advocates. When men are reliant upon a ruling authority, they become slaves to that authority. But Yeshua came to set us free. Freedom, liberty, these are ideas Yeshua espoused to His followers. And Yeshua talks all the time about a monetary system that is nothing other than a free market.
But Socialism frees no one, it destroys a person's spirit. It traps them in a system that is near-impossible to escape from. It destroys the courage and strength of the man who would otherwise be forced to rise out of their poverty, by seeking work and making something of himself. It was the free enterprise system that empowered me to change, not Socialism, in fact it was government hand-outs that kept me on the streets for so long. Change, does not come from politicians. If we have not even learnt that much already, then God help us.
Socialism purports to support the poor, say that 3 times really fast, but does so at their expense, and the expense of those being forced through the threat of violence and further loss of their freedoms and property. Socialism takes the property of another person and redistributes it as "they" see fit. When this is done by individuals, we call this larceny, theft. When Government does it, we call it taxation, either through a direct tax or an inflation tax caused by the printing of money that is backed by nothing. But the size or the scale or the word we use does not change what it is, it is still theft. The result of Socialism is an irresponsible society crippled by a sense of entitlement. So it's ironic, that when we steal we're called a thief and sent to jail, but when a man in a suit and big smile steals, he's called a politician and sent to the seat of government.
As believers in Yeshua, let's give deep critical thought to this important issue as we consider the direction we may be heading as a people right now. It is a voluntary virtue to provide charity to another, stealing is never the answer. And when God said, thou shalt not steal, He meant it. If Charity is not voluntary, it is thievery, it is moral hypocrisy. The responsibility for my neighbor, is mine, not the governments. It's time for us, the Body of Yeshua, to take back the reigns of charity, and that means we need to see the world differently. We need to be people of action, care and concern for each other. If we don't, God will give us the government we deserve, and as history has well shown, Socialism will destroy us.
My Scriptures for today.
Matthew 25:34-36 “Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, my Father has blessed you! Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. for I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger, and you took me into your home. 36 I needed clothes, and you gave me something to wear. I was sick, and you took care of me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’
and
Exodus 20:15 & 17 Thou shalt not steal. and Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors possessions.
God Bless you, and may you be covered in the dust of your rabbi.

I'm going to try and write a daily devotional
11/01/09 Filed in: Personal
OK, it seems a little arrogant to
think that I could be writing my own daily devotional. Yet, I feel
inspired and compelled to do so. So forgive me if you think that. I
kinda do too, but the compulsion is to strong to ignore. I just
wrote the first one, and you can find it here: http://godsipod.com/christian_blogs/israel_anderson/
Send me your comments, and go ahead and subscribe to them and it will email each one to you.

The all NEW God's iPod! Christian Podcast Site
02/01/09 Filed in: Personal | God's
iPod
Yesterday, Jan 1st 2009, I released
the all new God’s iPod. http://GodsiPod.com
This is a ministry I started about 4 years ago that podcasts “following Jesus” content to all that want to hear. It has been a paradox for me, first it’s a real blessing to be so honored to be able to do it, but it’s also cost me so much in the ay of time, and real money. I have asked for donations, and I get more people telling me off for daring to ask than any donations I have gotten. I guess people are just used to some big ministry supporting things like this.
So the new God’s iPod is quite revolutionary. You can now get your podcasts 3 different ways, versus the old single method using iTunes software. Now you can subscribe to anything via your email. This is quite amazing. A podcast in your email! This effectively take us from the teens that know how to use iTunes, to EVERYONE. Even Linux users :) And it gets better. Every email has a button that can be clicked to email that podcast to a friend. So if you think someone you know would really enjoy or benefit from that day’s podcast, click the button, enter their email, and they’ve got it too. I am terribly excited about this. You just could not do any of this with the former God’s iPod. And the 3rd way, btw, is that you can now view the podcasts on the website! Yes, all very very cool. If I do say so myself.
Years ago, God called me to use my talents to build and strengthen the Kingdom through the digital realm. And so that’s what I have been doing for nearly 4 years now. Many Christian Podcast sites have come and gone during that time, but God’s iPod keeps on keeping on thanks to you, our listener and ministry partners.
If you are not familiar with God’s iPod, go and take a look and subscribe to something!!
